Just BeCAUSE
Just BeCAUSE is a community-driven nonprofit organization focused on empowering and inspiring the youth through meaningful experiences, events and connection.
At our core, we believe community changes lives. When kids feel supported, included and seen, it creates a shift in confidence, outlook, and belief in what’s possible.
Why We Exist
Many children miss out on opportunities not because they lack potential or don’t deserve it, but because they lack access and exposure. At the same time, kids from all backgrounds are navigating life without a strong sense of community or encouragement.
Just BeCAUSE exists to fill that gap.
- Our model is not only for those labeled “less fortunate".
- Every child needs community.
- Every child deserves to feel supported, celebrated, and inspired.
Just BeCAUSE focuses on three core areas:
- Community Events We host inclusive, family-centered events that bring people together and create moments of joy and belonging.
- Youth Experiences We provide access to experiences that broaden perspective, spark confidence, and leave a lasting impression.
- Mentorship & Inspiration We recognize effort, growth, and character which inspires kids to believe in themselves in the future.
- We serve children and teens and welcome youth from all walks of life. Our work is rooted in inclusion, not labels.
Our Founder
Just BeCAUSE is led by Jelani “Jay Dot” Sanders, a hands-on founder with a lifelong passion for giving back and building community. The organization grew from years of grassroots outreach into a formal nonprofit to ensure the work is done consistently, responsibly, and with long term impact.
You’ll often find our founder present at events, engaging with families, and working directly alongside volunteers and staff; reflecting the hands-on, community first approach that Just BeCAUSE was built on.
Looking Forward
In the long run, Just BeCAUSE exists to inspire the youth by creating access, cultivating community, and opening doors to possibility.
We are here to stay, growing intentionally and partnering with those who believe in the power of community.
